Basically this purports to be an invoice for Norton Antivirus in the amount of $350. Here is a copy of the email accompanying it. Note the email address has been rendered unclickable.

So what are the red flags this email is a scam?

• I never ordered Norton Antivirus;
• The email address;
• 1 of an infinite variety of variations on the “always beware of a scam” theme; and
• Grammar and structural errors. Be advised, though, that the advent of AI is making this a much less reliable method, as criminals are now able to generate very convincing and very professional-looking emails.

Be smart, be wise, always verifies! It may take an extra minute or 2, but it’s better than losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
